A class about AI, but not really.

Banana Class is an introductory AI class where AI is called “Banana” so students can feel the quiet resistance that appears when something familiar is renamed.

A real class, with real people, for real life.

Concept

The word is not the lesson.

Banana Class uses AI as a mirror. The course begins with a small, deliberate change: students call AI “Banana.” The point is not to be clever. The point is to observe the mind defending what it already knows.

At first, it feels ridiculous. Then it becomes usable. Eventually, the discomfort fades. That shift is the class: not the tool, not the vocabulary, but the person adapting in real time.

Core lessons

Four ideas underneath the tool.

Honesty

Before you can learn anything new, you have to notice what you are actually resisting.

Change

The first reaction is not the final truth. What feels strange can become natural.

Movement

Technology moves. Work moves. People move. Standing still is still a choice.

Momentum

Learning gets easier once motion begins. The first step changes the next one.

Lesson 1

Lesson 1: Banana

The first lesson introduces honesty, change, movement, and momentum through one simple exercise: stop calling the tool AI and call it Banana.

Notice the resistance before explaining it away.

Use the new word even while it feels uncomfortable.

Watch the discomfort become normal through repetition.

Name the real lesson: the word did not change you. Practice did.
